Carpe Diem

Living Fully! Doesn't it always seem like we are caught between living fully for today and acting responsibly for tomorrow? It's like the ant and the grasshopper; work hard and party it up later; good things come to those who wait, etc etc etc. But how long must we wait? When does "the long run" actually happen? Is there an expiry date on eventually? I think it comes down, like most things in life, to a delicate balance. Make wise choices about the future, but don't turn down an opportunity that is staring you in the face. Weigh the pros and cons, but sometimes just go for it! Life is a gift that you can only unwrap once, but only you have the power to say how you want it to unfold; your attitude towards a rip in the paper, a tear in "your plan" can change how the rest of it goes. Will you keep ripping? Or grab some tape? Sorry for the extended metaphor, but I'm like a tin of Pringles; once I pop, I just can't stop. What I mean to say is; your life is your own, but you're not living it on your own. We don't have forever to wait for change; sometimes we have to be the spark.
