Prioritize for the Prize
Ever feel like you're struggling just to make it through the day? Or wake up saying, 'ugh, as soon as today is over, I'll be happy' every day? I have. And I also feel like these are not healthy ways to live nor are they life-giving attitudes to have. I like the expression 'every dark cloud has a silver lining', although when I'm at my most cynical, it's difficult to follow; but it is during those times that it is most important that we do. When we are feeling most low, most discouraged, it is then that we must find something to hope for, some goal to achieve, something to hold onto to keep us going. It is in these times that we must push ourselves to be grateful for the smallest things to make us care, to keep ourselves human. Don't get dejected; make a list of things that make you happy, if you have time, make some of them come true. If you don't have time, reevaluate and prioritize your life. Are the things that you are pursuing bringing meaning to your life? Do you bring meaning to everything that you do? Keep your priorities straight, keep the prize in mind; what matters most to you?
