I can't help it, I'm being honest
Honesty. Let's be honest; how often do we wear our hearts on our sleeves? How often do we take the first step to vulnerability in a friendship? It's a risk, but it is so valuable. Honesty stands out in a crowd; is this a bad thing? Shouldn't honesty be the norm? It is so tragic that we feel the need to hide behind these perfected faces and try to live life on our own. But we live around people, we were made for each other, we cannot do it alone. But how can we ever do it together if we don't communicate? If we're not honest with one another? I'm not saying you should pour out your life story to the stranger next to you in the movie theatre...although that could have some interesting results. I'm just saying that life, simple, every day life, would be so much better, so much clearer, if we could (to snag a line from Owl City) unfold our paper hearts and wear them on our sleeves.
